There are many people who have the attitude that they will never pay for antivirus software, this attitude is seen all over security forums and blogs. But as the saying goes, “nothing in life is free”, and it stands true when it comes to free antivirus. These charts speak for themselves, AVG costs when it comes to PC performance. The way I see it is, you paid let's say $1,000 for your PC, printer, and other peripherals. The performance hit is an easy 20%. So that "free” antivirus is really costing you $200 in the long run.
